GYEONGSANGNAM-DO Provincial COUNCIL
The Cultural Welfare Committee’s main tasks are to ensure a glorious civilization in Gyeongnam becomes a reality, and to advance social welfare policies including health, welfare, child nurturing, etc. It will lead the cultural development of Gyeongnam and the promotion of the welfare of the residents in a society based on the knowledge of the 21st century.
Jurisdiction
- Matters under the jurisdiction of the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Bureau and the sites that are under their supervision
- Matters under the jurisdiction of the Welfare and Health Bureau, the Women’s & Family Policy Bureau, and the sites that are under their supervision
- Matters under the jurisdiction of the Masan Medical Center
- Matters regarding support of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency
Committee Duties
- Operation of the standing committee meetings
- Creation and examination of bills such as ordinances, propositions, and motions
- Review of bills such as budgets and accounts
- Dealing with civil affairs such as petitions, appeals, etc.
- Audits and inspections of administrative works
- Local activities of the standing committee, etc.
